Areena Antoine
Her Aura
I'm sorry, you never felt safe enough.
Calm your body. I completely lost my awareness. My nervous system was no longer perceiving what I thought was my home. My soul was wandering off to a sanctuary I never knew existed. I was in a profound state of a new consciousness. Self Awared, I laid my hands rooted in Tanzania and Bihad. I scanned my chakras, welcomed my ancestors and in the crown area, I could feel my African grandfather gently laying a download I’ll never forget.

“Remember where you come from, Areena. Remember, Who you are.”

My younger self knew exactly who she was. She knew she wanted to be a star. As she grew up admiring the stars in the sky, wishing on every birthday candle to become one.
One that heals the soul.

One that dreams with love.

One that believes in you.

She never had to ask the way I do now. Who am I? Where do I come from?

All I've ever dreamed of was the ability to create. Filling a void for my younger self was a blueprint that is now kept in our sanctuary called To Build Her Home. When all her friends had someone to believe in, she admired the ability to believe and hoped she could find someone rare like HER. The inspiration grew louder as I processed my younger self’s emotions of being scared that perhaps she didn’t matter. In moments where she believed, it was deceived by a point of difference. She was Black. She was Brown. She was African while Indian. She spoke French fluently and perhaps elegantly as her first language. At a young age she was eloquent as she grasped the belief that she had to choose and once she did she fully lost herself.

My name is Areena Antoine. I was born in Mauritius Island. If you aim to find Mauritius Island on the world map, you may never find it. For a little more context this paradise Island as I get to call home is "in the Indian Ocean, just over 1,130 kilometers east of Madagascar, off the south-eastern coast of Africa” or in other words a small dot on the world map. When I was made to swim away from home, my family and I landed on a shore called Vancouver, BC. I lived in four homes.

An apartment where we struggled.
A townhome where we survived.
A Big house where we processed.
A home where we are all moving on to build our own.
Between every home, I strengthen my deepest desires to change the world by remaining just as I am. Vulnerable. I am more than my successes within the Educational Institutions. Authentic. I am more than my accomplishments as the Host and Creator of The Self Love Lounge Podcast. Creativity. I am more than what society labels and categories. Intentionality. The truth is I am on a spiritual journey as I express myself and find peace within soul. So, I welcome anyone who resonates with the ability to believe and create not for me but for inner child.
Warmly,

Your Art Matters, It's What What Kept Me Safe.
To Build Her Home is a spiritual sanctuary for deep inner knowers as we follow a spiritual practice of creative self expression.
Her Mission
Statement
HER REQUIREMENTS
Rooted in Areena's Spiritual Beliefs
Vulnerability.
Intentionality.
The ability to open your hearts to endless possibilities can feel naked yet powerful. Choosing a connection to ourselves is a strength. Therefore, let that be a long life commitment that no one can take away.
Allowing ourselves to sit with our shadows, stand with our inner child and confidently walk to our divine self all at once. Understanding that we are not perfect beings however we can learn, process and elevate.
Authenticity.
The ability to be different is what will make a difference. Refusing to conform to what already exists creates a soulful connection to self that leads into alignment.
Creativity.
Allowing our inner child to freely create all the dreams that do not yet exist. Expressing self in the best way you know how to. Your art matters, it’s what got you here.
